Every Minidisc conversion begins with a thorough disc inspection for damage, before it's played back on our professional Minidisc deck. The audio signal is digitized using a professional grade audio card before our audio engineers do some post-processing on the results. We trim the tracks, amplify and even the levels before re-mastering it back onto audio CD's. We use top-rated CD media to ensure a high-caliber and highly-compatible product. Each CD gets marked with simple, easy-to-read identification, then stored in a paper sleeve.
The Minidisc is an audio storage medium introduced by Sony in September 1992. The music format was originally based exclusively on ATRAC audio data compression, but the option of linear PCM recording was later introduced to attain audio quality comparable to that of a compact disc. While there are tons of second-hand Minidisc recorders and blank discs even today, being able to easily share your conversations with friends and family is easier when you use our service. Sony, the creator of the medium, has abandoned the format with it's last player being sold in 2013.

We can't save the track markers, nor the text data stored in the Table of Contents (TOC) of MiniDiscs when we transfer them to Compact Disc. There is no simple way to transfer this proprietary data, and our transfer method ignores this digital information anyway. When mastering your new CD, if we note sections of silence between tracks, we'll include a track marker on the CD, but this may not match up to your previous edits on the MiniDisc with frame accuracy.
