2024 Wrap-up: Fast Fashion Sales Report from Last Year
The slope of upward sales continued in 2024, with income reaching an all time high in 2024 as it surpassed the combined income of the previous 4 years! I'm elated with these positive results, especially considering they're what I'd consider to be passive income streams! We sold almost a thousand items via our sales partner Amazon, taking advantage of the shear traffic of everyone that uses the first "Everything Store" to buy everything they need online - and our sales figures are with zero advertising and online promotion costs! SEO on the right platform helped drive almost all our traffic.
Our first sale of 2024 was our Arduino Varsity Team Crest Logo College Hacker Engineer T-Shirt in Heather Women's cut, and the last shirt sold in 2024 was Berühmte Vornamen: Axl, Izzy, Duff, Slash und Steven T-Shirt in Pink Women's cut (shipped to Germany!)
Which Fast Fashion Lines Did Best?
In order to extract a bit of SEO, I've split my Fast Fashion lines into multiple brands, each serving a slightly different audience, but more importantly, including keywords I wanted to set a theme on but not use in product titles (due to limits on numbers of characters you can use). By branding them, I also get cross-linking when buyers might see 'Similar Items By This Seller' when searching for something in particular. Finally, the Brand Names I chose were unique enough to rank high wilth little distraction, and long enough to allow simple deducing of what our (external) website URL might be. My oldest and original line (and self-titled) is Under Design, which is a bit of catch-all for designs that don't fall into other's scope. Other lines, and their target markets are listed below:
- Famous First Names
- First names of Band Members of Famous Rock Pioneers, Left justified in Helvetica with an Oxford Comma and a single Ampersand.
- Jawn.us
- Philadelphia's favorite famous slang word, crammed into design ideas that look a bit too familiar.
- Initials.Love
- I ♥ N.Y. has 675 friends I also love: I ♥ A.A. ...
- Better Off Bowling
- Joke Team Names Brought to Life for a Real National Bowling League
- Railway Fan Club
- Train and Travel Themed Signage that Resonates with Nostalgia
In order to cultivate the successful lines and prune the non-selling designs (there's limits to how many designs I can publish, and I've less than 1% free!), here's what percentage of sales each line contributed to my totals in 2024:
It should be no surprise, but the most successful line of clothing is our Famous First Names lines of shirts, which appeals to an international audience, and gets sales world round due to the fandom of rock music stars. The majority of my sales came from the whole band names (The Beatles, U2), while 23 came from our newly introduced Solo Artists line, Chappell being our #1 Solo Artist of last year.
Coming in at a close second, with over 400 lifetime sales, our Jawn Food Market Full Color Design T-Shirt from the Jawn.us line of Philadelphia-area shirts. Sales of this single design blow away any of the other 39 designs we carry, and it seems this line is in serious need of some pruning!
Coming in a respectable third place is our Initials.Love line of T-Shirts. We only started the line in 2024 (and released the alpha version of our website on August 26th), and it's available in seven world markets (USA, U.K., Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Japan) along with it having the most designs in inventory (676 - i.e. I ♥ 26 letters x 26 letters), our below table shows which of our two letter combinations are selling, and which are not selling at all:

Railway Fan Club was cobbled together once I saw sales for my 'British Rail Lines Series' (from London, England, U.K. railway designs) spiked after release. While the Underground UK Train Symbol T-Shirt version sells best to the US audience (prolly more virtue signaling than English Train fan), whereas the Elizabeth Line UK Train Symbol T-Shirt one sells better in the U.K. (due to name recognition alone, I'd guess).
The Better Off Bowling brand has seen a massive turndown in sales, mostly due to losing a few reliable selling designs being flagged for Copyright violations (wrongfully, I might add) after years of successful sales, and now having to be relegated to a alternative seller with terrible traffic. Still, year on year, members of the national Social Bowling league 'Better Off Bowling' come looking for 'real' team jerseys once they realize the 'free' t-shirt given away is for the League's brand, and not your team choice. Stars and Strikes, Gutterfingers and Strike Force Bowling Team Shirts are our top sellers in 2024.
