So unfortunatly, we are cancelling today's Hang Free. Sorry! The ground will be too wet to enjoy, and it looks like it'll rain again this afternoon.

Coming this Monday, September 1st - Labor Day - yet another Hang Free! We'll be at our usual spot in Fairmount Park off of West River Drive from 1pm-Dark. See the directions to the right if you don't know where you're going.

We've been slow this year, and this will be our second Hang Free of the year - so you haven't missed anything. The summer started of wet, and looks like it'll end hot and muggy.

We're still working out the kinks in our DJ schedule (read: wanna DJ? Email Under), but expect a whole host of cool DJ's and new funky music. We'll send out another email before the weekend, and by then we'll have the lineup.

As always, Hang Free is a weather-permitting event. Please, check this website before you head out on Labor Day. We'll update it very often over the weekend as Monday approaches, and at least once on Monday morning.

Talk about taking my time....It took me forever to encode, compress and post all the DJ sets this time (buggy software slowed everything down). I finally got the photos up, as well as the MP3 DJ sets from the past Hang Free (renamed Hang Indoors ;P).

Many thanks to the DJ's who did show up and spin.Kevin Rucker, Eric Boltz, Chuck D, Argo, and Erin Anderson all had great sets. Unfortunatly, due to a shortage of blank minidiscs, the DJ sets by Under and John Shenk went unrecorded (Sorry!). Download and listen to the sets if you couldn't make it.

It's been rain, rain, rain, so planning the next Hang Free is near impossible. Every weekend looks like rain, so trying to find a suitable sunny weekend is tough. Keep checking back to theis site for information on the next event. Otherwise, sign up on the Hang Free mailing list (to the right), to ahve the info mailed directly to you.

Hang Free is cancelled. While it may be only partly cloudy, the rain will continue on (plus, the ground is wet).We'll be grilling and picnicing at Stacy's yoga studio. Looks like the weather is not going to cooperate. Rain in the morning, rain in the afternoon, just looks like Rain all day monday. Boo hoo!

In lieu of having it outdoors, Hang Free has been moved to Stacy's yoga studio. We'll still be having a free yoga class from 2pm-3pm, then we're going to bring out the picnic food, maybe get the grill going on the roof, and hopefully listen to the DJ's who decide to show (no one is obligated, if you're reading this).

This coming Monday, May 26th - Memorial Day, 2003, we'll be setting up our first Hang Free of the season. We expect to be up and running by 2pm on Monday, and going until dark (probably around 9pm). Directions to our location in Fairmount Park are to the right - we're in the field to the left of the West Park Comfort Station. We have our permit, and so far the DJ bookings are coming along great.

We have a bunch of new Dj's for our guests. Thus far, we've invited Jamie Morris, Erin Anderson, Jeff Heart, Kevin Rucker, Eric Boltz and our last-minute addition of Argo. Of course, ever-present resident Under will also dust off his record crate.

It's hard to say a week away, but the weather for next Monday looks a bit ominous, with the suggestion of scattered thunderstorms. Mother Nature can never be trusted, so we'll have to figure out whether or not the good weather will allow us to have Hang Free. Please bookmark and check this site for last-minute updates - literally. We'll update this site over the weekend as Monday approaches, and probably update it twice on Monday.

Under will be sending out another email about this event later this week. Take advantage of this opportunity and sign up on the email list to the right.

Finally, as a special gift, Stacy will be teaching a free yoga class. You'll have to show up on the early side, but expect the one hour class to start when we finally get set up (around 1-2pm). Call Stacy at 215-681-6341 if you're interested.
