On Monday, September 2nd - Labor Day, 2019, we'll be having Hang Free! We expect to be up and running by one on Monday, and going until sunset (probably around 8pm). Note, we will be at our new location in Fairmount Park, behind the Please Touch Museum and Memorial Hall in West Philadelphia. We'll be at a lovely spot located on Cedar Grove Drive (Link to Google Map). There's a small lot for parking, and easy bike and walking access.
Hang Free is a free, bi-annual outdoor party that occurs in Fairmount Park in Philadelphia. We provide DJ's spinning music in an outdoor, casual atmosphere, where there is no cost to hang and listen. It should be a lovely day to enjoy Philadelphia's gorgeous public parks with friends and loved ones.
This Labor Day Monday our DJ guests will be spinning an all-vinyl sets. Showrunners and equipment-dragging residents, DJ Linda Leigh with her partner in all things auditory DJ D.R.E.O. will be there first and set the tone for the day. Hang Free regular Jack Tripper who last graced us in 2017 will be back to play an all Prince 45rpm Set. Hang Free new-comers DJ Glenn Paul and DJ Nysus round out our this powerhouse lineup on this (hopefully) warm autumn day.

Each Hang Free guarantees some sport & fun (such as touch football or frisbee or volleyball) with friends and soon-to-be friends. Over the years, we've become more pet-friendly and child friendly, offering play for all ages and a friendly welcoming crowd. Plus, you get an eclectic soundtrack to picnic your day away with Philadelphia's hippest DJ's and sound makers. This Labor Day Monday, we'll have a super-nice chef working the grill just for our guests (yes, free food!)
It's hard to say a few days away, but the weather predicted for our Monday event predicts cloudy skys and a 83 degree day with a 8:50pm sunset. The weather looks like it's going to cooperate with us this year, with a warm spring day and temperatures creeping up to the low 80's during the afternoon.

This Memorial Day Monday our DJ guests include the usual equipment-dragging residents, DJ D.R.E.O. spinning an extra-long tag-team set with his partner in all things auditory DJ Linda Leigh. We'll also be joined by plenty of new faces and some old ones as well.
For the first time ever at Hang Free, we have a triple tag team of first-time guests with DJ's Jay Kountree, Musho, and Bockman. We look forward to the eclectic soundscape produced by these guys!
Hang Free alumni and Philadelphia DJ legends DJ Deep C and DJ Dozia round out our this powerhouse lineup on this warm spring day.
